How do I become a member of the Pathé Club loyalty scheme?

All members of Pathé Pass and Pathé Friends automatically become members of Pathé Club.

If you already have a Pathé Friends card, or a Pathé Pass subscription, your card will act as a Pathé Club loyalty card. 

You must register online at www.pathe.ch under “My Account” to become a member of the Pathé Club loyalty scheme. Once you have filled in all the mandatory fields, you can start to collect loyalty points.

If you want, you can obtain a physical Pathé Club loyalty card from Pathé cinema box offices.

What are the benefits of the Pathé Club loyalty scheme?

Your details are registered in your personal account, so you don’t have to input them every time you want to buy a cinema ticket, which saves time.

Furthermore, when you register online and become a Pathé Club loyalty scheme member, you automatically earn points when you buy cinema tickets online or at cinema box offices/terminals, but also on products from the bar or shop, such as drinks or snacks.

You can enjoy special offers, birthday presents, special events for Club members and lots of other benefits.

How much does a loyalty card cost?

Pathé Club membership is completely free.

How do I identify myself in order to collect points?

You must fill in all the fields marked “mandatory” on the form when setting up your account and accept the Terms and Conditions. Your unique identifier will be your e-mail address and the password you choose.

How do I get a Pathé Club loyalty card? 

You don’t need a membership card for your online purchases. You will be identified by your e-mail address and password. If you don’t have a Pathé Friends or Pathé Pass card, you can get a physical Pathé Club card at Pathé cinema box offices. To save time, we recommend that you first register online at www.pathe.ch and create an account.

Is it possible to get a Pathé Club loyalty card for family members?

Loyalty points are credited to the account to which the transaction is allocated. You can give your card to another member of your family and your account will be credited with the points corresponding to each transaction. Each member of the family can join the Pathé Club loyalty program, however, provided that they are aged 14 or over.

Is the Pathé Club loyalty card transferable?

Yes. If you have a Pathé Pass card, Pathé Friends card or Pathé Club card you can give it to another person and earn points on your account. If you transfer your Pathé Pass card for a purchase from the bar, or a ticket for a family member, for example, this does not mean they are eligible for a free Pass ticket, as these are non-transferable (see Pathé Pass T&Cs). When tickets are being checked you may be asked to show proof of identity. 

What do I do if I forget my Pathé Club card? 

You must present your Pathé Club card, Pathé Friends card or Pathé Pass card if you buy cinema tickets at the box office or terminals, or buy products from the bar or shop. It will not be possible for you to earn points if you do not show one of these cards and the points cannot be credited to your account afterwards.

What do I do if I have lost my physical Pathé Club loyalty card? 

If your card is lost or stolen you can obtain a new physical card from a Pathé cinema. The points you have accumulated on your old card will be transferred to your new one.

 
 

Pathé Club Points

How can I earn loyalty points?

You earn points for each cinema ticket bought online or at Pathé cinema box offices/terminals, as well as on products from the bar or shop, such as drinks or snacks. The points allocation is as follows:

  • 1 cinema ticket = 200 points 
  • 1 VIP cinema ticket = 500 points
  • CHF 1 spent in the bar or shop = 10 points

You will not accumulate points for purchasing vouchers, 3D glasses, for products purchased from vending machines in cinemas or Starbucks cafés at Pathé Balexert and Pathé Mall of Switzerland. Purchase of additional services such as 3D, 4DX, IMAX, DBOX, Ciné Deluxe or Premium seats will not earn points, nor will Pathé invitations. 

Every time you use your Friends card to buy a ticket you will earn 200 points.

How can I earn loyalty points if I have a Pathé Pass membership?

Pathé Pass members automatically receive 250 points per month and can collect loyalty points for every additional ticket purchased online or at the cinema box offices/terminals, or on bar products as follows:

  • CHF 1 spent in bar or shop = 10 points

For example, if you buy at PET drink at CHF 4.90 = you receive 49 points. The amount is always rounded up: CHF 4.95 = 50 points

  • 1 additional cinema ticket per booking = 200 points 
  • 1 VIP cinema ticket per booking = 500 points

For example, if you are a Pathé Pass member and you book 1 Pathé Pass ticket and 2 adult tickets for the same showing, you will receive 400 additional points.

You will not receive any points for buying vouchers, 3D glasses, gift vouchers, products purchased from vending machines in cinemas or from Starbucks cafés at Pathé Balexert and Pathé Mall of Switzerland. Purchase of additional services such as 3D, 4DX, IMAX, DBOX, Ciné Deluxe or Premium seats will not earn points, nor will Pathé invitations.

For how long are loyalty points valid?

All the points credited to your account will be valid for 12 months. Every time you use your card the period of validity is extended by another 12 months. If you don’t make any purchases for 24 consecutive months your details will be removed from our database.

Where can I check my loyalty points balance?

Your points balance will be visible online under “My Account”, in the newsletters you receive and on your tickets.

How long does it take for points to be credited to my account?

The points you earn are credited to and visible in “My Account” immediately.

Can I transfer loyalty points to someone else?

Unfortunately, you can’t transfer loyalty points to someone else.

Can I earn points at special events, such as Allianz Cinema Day?

You can earn points when buying tickets for special events, such as Allianz Cinema Day.

If I book several cinema tickets for one showing, can I add together the points for all the tickets purchased?

If you buy several tickets for the same showing the total points for the tickets purchased will be credited to your account.

When can I exchange my loyalty points?

You will receive a free standard cinema ticket: 

  • Valid from Monday to Thursday as soon as you have accumulated 2,000 points
  • Valid from Friday to Sunday as soon as you have accumulated 2,500 points

You will receive a free VIP ticket as soon as you have accumulated 5,000 points. 

You can’t use your points to pay for part of a ticket.

As soon as you have accumulated 500 points, you can use them for discounts on bar prices as follows:

  • 500 points =  CHF 5.00 discount
  • 1,000 points = CHF 10.00 discount
  • 1,500 points = CHF 15.00 discount

Points cannot be converted into cash. If you pay for part of your purchase with points, you will only earn points for the part of the purchase which you have paid for in cash (or by credit card).

For example, if you buy items from the bar for CHF 20.00 and you have 1,500 points in your account and you use 1,500 points and pay CHF 5.00 in cash, your new balance will be 50 points.

How can I exchange my loyalty points?

When you have reached the points balance required to obtain a free ticket, we recommend that you exchange your loyalty points online. To obtain a free ticket, make sure you are logged in to My Account, select the movie and the session you'd like to attend and choose "PATHÉ CLUB TICKETS"

Would you like to change your personal details, such as your password or e-mail address?

You can update your personal details at any time by clicking on the “My Account” tab.

Would you like to change your newsletter settings?

Go to the “My Newsletters” tab in your account to manage receipt of the newsletters to which you have subscribed. Please note that you can only receive newsletters for one city.

Will my personal details be made available to third parties?

No, in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act your details will not be made available to third parties. If you choose to register your credit card details, these will not be stored on our system, but on that of your bank.
